Located in Connecticut, the design of the garden terrace negotiates the landscape’s steep terrain through the installation of stone stairs. Grass-carpeted terraces are created by a system of retaining walls, while tall hedges frame the periphery to accentuate the sweeping views of the lake below. In other less formal areas of the garden, the path down the hill is traversed by landscape steps that taper into the hillside.

A number of gathering spaces, varying in size, were strategically placed into the hillside, consequently allowing viewers a panoramic view of the picturesque landscape.
