Despite the weather, the CDL/S team has been working through the winter to prepare new gardens for enjoyment this spring. One of these exciting new projects is on a Manhattan Upper East Side terrace. The blending of ipe wood and porcelain tile in a contemporary pattern has transformed this terrace into an extension of the home. As the days become longer, the dappled shade from the pergola will serve as not only a privacy screen but also as sun protection. Until then, the material composition and evergreen planting will serve as winter interest.
