500 Trees Planted on Behalf of 350 Bleeker Street

  • 25th July 201425/07/14

We recently had the pleasure of designing a Manhattan rooftop terrace located at 350 Bleeker Street. DeepStream Designs, the company responsible for the creation of the planters purchased for use on the outdoor property, donates 100 trees per item sold on behalf of their clients in an effort to reduce their carbon foot print.

Thus, in the name of 350 Bleeker Street and in conjunction with Trees for the Future, 500 trees will be planted in Haiti to combat the devastating effects of deforestation. The oxygen produced by each tree will replace five tons of pollution from the global atmosphere and in turn support the local biodiversity and native land. Not only does deforestation negatively impact our atmosphere, it also severely damages the crop production and in turn the quality of life of those who live in such ravaged areas.
